Exclusive: Mfuse acquired by gaming supplier Nektan
Deal for mobile sportsbook specialist follows Nektan’s £5m fundraising round
Gibraltar-based online casino, skill and lottery games developer Nektan has acquired mobile gaming firm Mfuse for an undisclosed sum, eGaming Review has learned.
Nektan, which has mobile game distribution deals in place with William Hill, Norsk Tipping and Scientific Games, completed the deal this week after concluding a £5m funding round.
The acquisition, which had been under discussion for almost four months, will see all 50 Mfuse employees including senior management remain in place at the firm’s London office.
Mfuse targets B2C bingo market following acquisition
Mfuse will launch new products in three verticals before the end of the year as it winds down its sportsbook business and shifts towards a B2C strategy for the first time.
Following its acquisition by Nektan, Mfuse CEO Geoff Read told eGaming Review the deal is a “perfect match” to accelerate the firm’s growth into new markets.

Probability launches new HD slots games
Mobile operator Probability has launched six new HD slots games for iOS, Android and Blackberry devices based upon a new HTML5 and server framework.
The additions to the UK-based firm’s platform are the result of a year’s research and development, estimated to have cost over £1m, which aims to make significant improvements to graphics, sound and customer ease of use.
Metro Play to launch UK ad campaign
Metro Play, the gaming brand launched by the owner of the Daily Mail newspaper last month, is to launch an advertising campaign targeting commuters across the UK.
The brand, formerly a Gtech-powered white label offering known as ME Gaming, was relaunched as an Alderney-licensed, mobile-focused operator last month by DMG Media.
Optimal Payments and Bally sign US partnership
Casino supplier Bally Technologies has signed a deal with Optimal Payments allowing it to offer payments and related services directly to its online gaming clients.
Bally, one of the first companies to be awarded a Nevada egaming licence, will integrate Optimal Payments’ NETBANX payment offering into its B2B platform. Bally’s customers will then be able to use the NETBANX payment gateway for services including credit card, debit card and electronic cheque processing and risk management.
GTECH launches centralised online lottery content library
Technology provider GTECH has officially launched a new centralised internet-based lottery content library, the first of its kind according to the company.
The Game Market houses games developed through GTECH’s open development platform Lottery Developer Network (LDN), which enables third party content developers to create games for the online lottery sector.
Betsoft agrees Redbet slots deal
BetSoft has announced a partnership to supply Malta-licensed Redbet with its library of 3D slot content.
The deal is the first to be announced since Redbet was acquired by Bonnier Gaming last month, and the operator’s managing director Alexis Wicén described BetSoft as “an obvious choice” of partner.
Topjack in deal with charity operator
Insured jackpot games provider Topjack Games has signed a supply agreement with online casino and charity Casino4Life.
Casino4Life, which donates all its profits to charitable causes, will take on a suite of games from the Malta-licensed provider, whose guaranteed jackpots are insured by Lloyds of London.
888 has signed two new sports sponsorship deals for its poker and casino brands. 888poker has entered into an agreement to title sponsor MMA Portugal for the remainder of 2013, while 888casino has been announced as the sponsor of snooker’s Champion of Champions tournament, set to take place in November.
INTRALOT‘s Peruvian subsidiary has announced the launch of a native application available to Android users. Milena Chavez Maggi, virtual channel manager, said the gaming supplier’s offering will provide customers easy access to its products with “the highest level of security, always complying with the highest international standards”. The new applications will include lottery and sports betting games.
Locus Gaming is set to launch mobile and tablet games on its Jack Gold Casino site after inking a deal with NYX OGS to use the software provider’s MOVE product. “It is a natural progression that we should add the suite of games provided through MOVE to our already diverse products,” Locus Gaming CEO, Ed Andrewes, said. “We are confident that these games will perform particularly well on mobile.”
Software provider BetOnSoft has bolstered its mobile offering with the launch of its Mobile Web Client 1.3. The game user interface upgrade to its mobile platform for Android, iOS and Windows Phone users will include the addition of 11 new video poker games.
Net Entertainment has launched its new online video slots game Fisticuffs. Simon Hammon, chief product Officer, said it “offer[s] players a great opportunity for some massive prizes which is one of our core missions every time we create a video slot”.
