GTECH launches centralised online lottery content library
Game Market to act as a distribution mechanism for lotteries
Technology provider GTECH has officially launched a new centralised internet-based lottery content library, the first of its kind according to the company.
The Game Market houses games developed through GTECH’s open development platform Lottery Developer Network (LDN), which enables third party content developers to create games for the online lottery sector.
The company has partnered with six game developers including Ingenio and Karma Gaming, and is also in talks with other developers with a view to providing additional games in the future.
Commenting on the launch, Paul Riley, GTECH Lottery Interactive product marketing vice-president, said the library will “revolutionise” the way in which interactive games are developed and brought to market for lotteries.
“The Game Market puts the control of game content firmly in the hands of the operator, and allows a lottery to rapidly update its product mix,” he added.
