Betable business development VP Flesher exits
Jonathan Flesher departs the UK-licensed platform provider after 18 months as EVP of business development
Betable executive vice-president of business development Jonathan Flesher has left the real-money platform provider after 18 months at the firm.
Flesher officially vacated the role last week to spend more time with his family but will continue to be a major shareholder in the London-headquartered company.
He originally joined Betable in January 2013 from social gaming giant Zynga where he also held the role of vice president and general manager of business development.
Flesher became the second former Zynga VP to take up a new role with Betable after former vice president of mobile Ya-Bing Chu was appointed chief product officer in November 2012.
Betable’s real-money platform can be added to freeplay games which do not need to apply for an operating licence as the product is regulated via its UK Gambling Commission licence.
Social gaming studios Bee Cave Games and Murka currently have real-money products available in the UK in partnership with Betable.
However, Big Fish Games ceased offering real-money mobile casino games in the UK earlier this year via its Big Fish Casino app after terminating its deal with the platform provider.
The US-based social and casual games developer and publisher originally signed a deal with Betable in October 2012 to offer real-money slots games but has now taken the decision to increase its focus on the “social experience” of its games.
