Exclusive: PKR launches seven figure investor prospectus

PKR has sent out a formal prospectus to potential investors in order to raise a “seven figure sum” to boost “marketing firepower” as it searches to expand the business, but is not ruling out a sale, its chief executive has told eGaming Review.
Malcolm Graham (pictured) said the prospectus was not meant “strictly” for the purpose of a sale but that he would not rule it out if the right offer was made.
“We’re looking to structure something to grow the business but if a sale happens then this is a possibility,” he added.
According to various sources eGR has spoken to the company is estimated to be worth up to £50m, approximately half its value from two years ago.
PKR has been seeking partners and further investment for the last two years on an “informal basis”, Graham told eGR, but has taken the decision to formalise the process by putting together a prospectus giving a detailed breakdown of the company’s financial performance and future potential.
Paddy’s Roller Casino launches “£1m bet” campaign
The official marketing campaign for Paddy Power’s real-money casino app, Roller, has begun and will offer one player the chance to win £1m with a single spin on the roulette wheel.
Roller, launched in September and designed specifically for use on iPhones and iPads, features a range of 19 real-money games including tables, slots, video poker, and roulette. All games can be played for free in order to practice before playing for real money.
The ‘£1m Bet’ campaign will run for four weeks and begins by asking people to find 40 hidden cultural symbols and icons “ from football clubs to bands to TV shows “ in a ‘Zoom-and-Search’ image that will be hosted on Facebook.
Clues will be posted each day and consumers will be tasked with finding at least 35 of the images in order to unlock the final challenge, wherein the person with the most entertaining reason for why they should progress will get the chance to spin a roulette wheel to win a £1m.

Exclusive: Mr Green to open problem gambling clinic
Casino operator Mr Green is to open a problem gambling clinic in Stockholm, eGaming Review can exclusively reveal.
Set to be the first such facility opened by an egaming operator, ‘The Green Clinic’ will be wholly funded by the Malta-licensed company, which will also fund the research on which its treatment is based.
The operator has been discussing the initiative for almost a year and has recently agreed a partnership with a cognitive behaviour therapy (CBT) research organisation.
Mr Green co-founder Mikael Pawlo told eGR that once the clinic has opened, other operators could be invited to invest in and throw their weight behind the project.
Social Gaming Association receives official launch
Social gaming industry body the Social Gaming Association (SGA) has secured its first paid member following its official launch last week.
Headed up by former Sportingbet European legal counsel and iGaming Counsel founding partner Stuart Tilly, the SGA hopes to name its executive committee before the end of 2012.
It already has an as-yet-unnamed US company among its members, while Andrew Hughes, CEO of mobile social casino business AbZorba Games, is the first member of the executive committee.
GTECH G2 in sports betting deal with Marca
GTECH G2 has signed an agreement with the publisher of Spain’s leading sports newspaper to power its new online sports betting brand.
The partnership with Spanish publishing group Unidad Editorial, which also owns the El Mundo and Expansión newspapers, will see Marca integrate GTECH G2’s sports betting technology, including in-play markets, into its own website.
Poker Channel undergoes rebrand
Gaming Media Group brand The Poker Channel will rebrand as The Player Channel on 3 December as the operator looks to broaden the scope of its television outlet.
The Poker Channel will continue to exist as a sub-brand, however the revamped offering will also focus on casino, games and sports betting as well as its core poker programming.
Cozy enters deal with Spin Games
Mobile and social gaming specialist Cozy Games has signed a deal with Spin Games which will see the developer provide the Cozy Connect platform with a selection of its video slot games.
Spin Games will initially integrate 10 games from its portfolio including Beticus Maximus, Frozen Fruit and Hot Dice, which will also be available to players via tablet and smartphone devices.
Station Casinos acquires majority stake in Fertitta Interactive
Station Casinos has acquired a 50.1% stake in online gaming operator Fertitta Interactive, the company has announced in its financial results for the period ended 31 September 2012.
Once the deal is completed Station Casinos will own a majority stake in Fertitta Interactive, with the company’s co-founders Tom Breitling and Tim Poster retaining 12.5% each. Brothers Frank Fertitta III and his brother Lorenzo, the other two founders of Fertitta Interactive, will own the remaining 25%.
SG Gaming to launch slots in Italy with Eurobet
Scientific Games subsidiary SG Gaming has agreed a deal with Eurobet Italia which sees the company become the latest to launch tumbling reel slot games for the Italian market.
An unspecified number of games are set to be released through Gala Coral’s Eurobet Italia before the end of the year. Crown Jewels is already live as its developer Barcrest, a subsidiary of SG Gaming, also has an agreement with GameAccount Network, that agreed a similar deal with Eurobet Italia in September.
IGT launches three mobile slot games
International Game Technology (IGT) has released three slot games for mobile as the company continues to expand its smartphone offering.
Available on iOS and Android mobile or tablet devices, IGT has launched Elvis: A Little More Action, Wolf Run and Kitty Glitter. The games are available through the IGT remote game server.
Intelligent Payments partners with Callcredit
Callcredit has integrated its ID verification and fraud prevention tool, CallValidate, into Intelligent Payments to offer one of the industry’s “most cutting edge” ID, payment and anti-fraud solutions, the company has announced this morning.
Intelligent Payments’ payment platform allows its clients to outsource the technical, compliance and maintenance of integrating multiple payment channels through a single API.
Microgaming has launched video slot game Immortal Romance as part of its Mobile Air range of products. The company claims the game can produce higher quality and higher frame rate animations by targeting the phone’s graphics processing unit, instead of the main central processing unit. Meanwhile the software provider last week won the corporate social responsibility award at the 2012 Isle of Man Awards for Excellence, with CEO Roger Raatgever describing the recognition as “a great honour”.
bet365 has chosen regulatory auditing and testing agency eCOGRA to serve as its third-party regulatory testing and certification partner for compliance services. It follows a similar agreement between eCOGRA and Unibet signed last month. eCOGRA chief executive Andrew Beveridge said: “eCOGRA looks forward to assisting bet365 with future certification endeavours while ensuring the group remains compliant in the markets in which it currently operates.”
Lotsys has released a mobile Loto app for French operator La Française des Jeux (FDJ) which will be available on Apple and Android devices. FDJ head of digital content Renaud Dol said: “Lotsys came up with many excellent ideas in this field “ which are part of the app today. For us it is a strong sign that they are up to date with both lotteries’ and players’ needs in the mobile internet era”
Net Entertainment has released two new mobile slot games, Frankenstein, in association with Universal Studios Licensing, and Jack Hammer 2 Touch, as part of the company’s Touch portfolio.
Social pool-betting operator Bodugi, which has a distribution and white label agreement with Sportech, has added fixed-odds betting to its offering.
