Xela Holdings signs Watford FC sponsorship deal
Parent company of 138.com brand to appear on Championship side's shirts for 2013-14 season
Xela Holdings has announced a deal with Watford FC for its 138.com egaming brand to become the club’s shirt sponsor for the 2013-14 Football League season.
The Isle of Man-licensed operator’s CEO is former Isle of Man Gambling Supervision Commission head of egaming development Garth Kimber (pictured), who said he was “delighted to be in partnership with such an ambitious club”.
Kimber, described as “a life-long Watford fan” added he hoped to help “grow the Watford brand globally” alongside Xela’s newly-launched 138.com site. The site features ‘Vegas’ and ‘Macau’ casino portals alongside a live dealer offering, sportsbook and financial betting products.
Watford chief executive Scott Duxbury added that having “a global brand” associated with the team was a tribute to the progress the club had made.
“138.com is an ambitious brand and we are an ambitious football club. We are very pleased to have concluded this exciting partnership and look forward to working together in the future,” Duxbury said.
