Ladbrokes overhauls Betdaq and Ireland management teams
Review of business sees exchange business move under Jim Mullen’s digital remit and Betdaq MD Lewis Findlay depart
Ladbrokes has overhauled the management of its Betdaq and exchange businesses following an internal review with the two divisions moved within its digital operations unit.
The shake-up also sees the departure of Betdaq managing director Lewis Findlay who will be replaced by former Betdaq product director Shane McLaughlin, however the Betdaq team is to remain in Dublin.
Betdaq operations will now fall under Ladbrokes’ digital director Jim Mullen’s remit, while its trading team will report into the operator’s trading director Andy Wright.
As a result of the restructure the management of Ladbrokes Ireland is to be brought under the operator’s International division, headed by international and group strategy director Damian Cope.
Betfair ops director Chuter steps down
Betfair’s group operations director Ian Chuter is leaving the operator this week after three and half years’ service.
A veteran of the gambling industry, Chuter has been overseeing Betfair’s global customer operations team, which includes telephone betting, market operations, fraud, payments and trading.
Prior to joining the London-based firm Chuter spent almost a decade at William Hill and William Hill Online in roles ranging from gaming and sportsbook director to group head of international and UK operations.

Bwin.party technology chief departs
Bwin.party is on the hunt for a new chief technology officer (CTO) after Guy Duncan left the firm earlier this month.
Duncan joined bwin.party back in January 2013 and was responsible for overseeing the operator’s technology platform and product development.
He has moved on to take up the CTO role at Amsterdam-based payment processing firm PayU, having previously held technology roles a tech-engineering firm Valtech.
PERFORM joint-CEO Oliver Slipper stands down
PERFORM Group joint-chief executive Oliver Slipper has stood down from his role with immediate effect leaving Simon Denyer as the sole CEO.
In a statement released last week, the sports content provider confirmed Slipper’s decision although added the PERFORM co-founder would remain with the firm in an non-executive director role.
Slipper founded PERFORM with Denyer in 2007 following the merger of Premium TV and Inform Group and has helped grow the company into a 1,500-strong organisation spanning 26 countries.
Mobile casino operator LeoVegas is seeking a new head of casino as incumbent Christian Karlsson prepares to relinquish the role in order to concentrate on other responsibilities.
Chief executive Johan Styren told eGR Mobile Intelligence the firm had already kicked-off the recruitment process and confirmed that Karlsson would remain with the firm.
“He [Karlsson] is also head of payments and country manager for Norway, and he felt that two key roles was enough,” Styren said.
