Betfair ops director Chuter steps down
Former William Hill Online man set to depart next week
Betfair’s group operations director Ian Chuter (pictured) is leaving the operator next week after three and half years’ service, eGaming Review has learned.
A veteran of the gambling industry, Chuter has been overseeing Betfair’s global customer operations team, which includes telephone betting, market operations, fraud, payments and trading.
Prior to joining the London-based firm Chuter spent almost a decade at William Hill and William Hill Online in roles ranging from gaming and sportsbook director to group head of international and UK operations.
“I am enormously richer for the experience of working at Betfair where I have been fortunate enough to work with a really great team,” said Chuter, whose responsibilities will initially be absorbed internally.
“The company is now unrecognisable from the one I joined and the recent success is testament to the hard work of everyone. I have no doubt that Betfair will continue to go from strength to strength and wish them the very best going forward,” he added.
“We would like to take this opportunity to thank Ian for his significant contribution to Betfair over the past three and a half years,” a Betfair spokesperson said.
