NetPlay announced as Big Brother headline sponsor
Adverts for operator's SuperCasino brand to air during broadcast of popular reality gameshow
NetPlay’s SuperCasino brand has been announced as the headline sponsor of this year’s series of reality TV gameshow Big Brother.
The show, which launched on the UK’s Channel Five last night, will be broadcast every night for 11 weeks with SuperCasino ads featured around all coverage including support programming, online and video on demand offerings.
NetPlay chief executive Charles Butler (pictured) described television advertising as “a very effective new customer recruitment” tool for the operator, adding the exposure gained by sponsoring the popular series would generate “significantly increased brand awareness and new customer reach”.
The operator has recovered strongly after posting a £10m loss in its full-year results for 2010, which prompted the resignation of CEO and founder Martin Higginson, and saw former CFO Butler take control of the business.
In its 2012 results the firm posted a 27.5% year-on-year revenue increase, described by Butler as “an exceptional year both financially and operationally”.
