Matchbook appoints Sanderson as new CTO
Former Pinnacle IT director Marvin Sanderson hired as incumbent Michael O'Gorman moves to new CIO role
Matchbook has appointed former Pinnacle IT Group director Marvin Sanderson as its new CTO as part of an expansion of the company’s technology team, eGaming Review has learned.
Sanderson, who had been working for the firm on a consultancy basis since the summer, was appointed CTO at the end of January with incumbent Michael O’Gorman moving into a newly created CIO role.
Sanderson’s arrival comes as the firm prepares to unveil a host of new sports betting and casino products.
“Matchbook is on a fantastic upward curve at the moment with some really big opportunities ahead of it,” Sanderson told eGR.
The management team here is very innovative and it’s great to be part of that and ensure the various product launches we have in the pipeline go to according to plan,” he added.
Mark Brosnan, Matchbook CEO, said: “Marvin has shown during his short time here that he has the experience and ability to help take Matchbook to the next level and it’s a very good appointment for us.”
The appointment comes during a period of growth at the company, which recently moved into brand new offices and announced plans to create 120 new roles over the course of 2015.
Last summer Matchbook released a propriety casino, its first venture outside of its core sports betting exchange product, while it has also targeted Latin America as key area of growth after last year appointing head of brand Paul McGuinness as commercial director for the region.
