Trinity Mirror and Paddys to launch sports betting app
Media giant prepares to launch new sports betting product which will integrate Irish bookies’ platform
Paddy Power has entered into an exclusive deal with UK media giant Trinity Mirror in a move which has seen the pair combine for a new sports betting app, eGaming Review can exclusively reveal.
The app, which will be available on both iOS and Android, will focus on the casual punter and is to be released imminently with the product submitted to the Apple Store for final verification.
It is understood that the deal between Paddys and Trinity Mirror is not a white-labelling agreement, with the operator’s branding expected to be present throughout the Mirror-titled product. As such, all customers will be aware that all bets placed via the app will be made with the Irish operator.
According to eGR sources, the app will see Trinity Mirror, publisher of newspapers the Daily Mirror and the Sunday People, leverage its extensive sports content in order to provide users with a more rounded sports betting experience.
