Winamax confirms no replacement for Frichet
Operator clarifies new management structure following former director general Canel Frichet's departure last September
Winamax has clarified its new management structure following the departure of the French operator’s director general Canel Frichet to confirm there will be no direct replacement for her role.
A spokesperson for the operator confirmed to eGaming Review that rather than replace Frichet, her responsibilities have been filled by the firm’s current managing directors Alexandre Roos and Christophe Schaaming.
Schaaming joined Winamax as managing director in March 2005, while Roos has been with the firm in the same capacity since 2009.
Frichet left the company last September following six years’ service. Having originally joined the firm as COO in August 2007, she became its managing director in 2010.
She guided Winamax to become the leading operator for cash-game poker traffic in the France despite the country’s troubled poker market, which has seen both GGR and active player numbers fall.
