William Hill overhauls mobile app payments
Gibraltar-licensed operator adds new payment functionality and seamless integration across its web and native apps
William Hill has revamped its mobile payments facility to offer customers a wider range of options and a seamless experience across desktop, native and web applications.
Existing desktop payment methods such as PayPal and Skrill have been added to all its mobile services, along with multi-credit and debit card payments to enable customers to quickly switch between registered cards for deposits and withdrawals.
William Hill’s director of mobile Juergen Reutter told eGaming Review the upgrades will enhance the experience for its mobile users and simplify the way they manage their payments.
“We see payments as a key touch point of the user experience and we have now provided seamless and deeply integrated payment functionality across all channels to further enhance this,” Reutter said.
Gaming Realms targets RMG push with Quick Think Media buy
Gaming Realms has acquired bingo affiliate and marketing agency Quick Think Media (QTM) for £2.2m as it seeks to add to the launch of Bingo Godz with further real-money gaming titles in 2014.
The purchase of QTM adds to the acquisition of social casino and bingo company beJig “ founded by the same management team as QTM “ earlier this year, as well as the mobile developer AlchemyBet.
Co-founders Tom Gooding, Simon Smiley and David Hampstead have all retained their shares in the affiliate for a minimum of 18 months and will work alongside Gaming Realms as it prepares to develop and launch new casino and bingo titles across multiple platforms in the New Year.
Gaming Realms’ first real-money product Bingo Godz launched in August, followed by an aggressive ad campaign to boost the new brand.

BetVictor signs up OPTA in World Cup push
BetVictor has signed up sports data provider OPTA as the operator looks to enhance its online football offering in the run up to next year’s World Cup.
The deal comes as BetVictor implements a series of website upgrades which includes a redesign of its football coupons, enhanced market groupings and a soon-to-be released upgrade of its slots-style
Spincast football bet “ which will also be made available via a new mobile app.
The operator had previously used the services of OPTA during the 2012 European Championships but has now agreed a one-year term.
BetVictor head of sportsbook Eoin Ryan told eGaming Review the agreement with OPTA was made with next summer’s football tournament firmly in mind.
Playtech launches ‘dual network’ feature
Playtech has launched a ‘dual network’ for its live games offering, allowing its licensees’ customers to play tailored games across multiple platforms across the world.
The feature allows for players to customise their games to include cultural experiences or settings “ such as an Asian dealer following Asian customer services practices “ and to play them anywhere in the world.
The egaming software supplier has announced the feature will be exclusive to its licensees and will be available on its entire suite of live games.
Shimon Akad, vice-president of operations at Playtech, said the feature was developed in response to player needs. “We constantly aim to provide our operators with the newest technology and best offering in the market, we follow consumer behaviours and create products that provide our licensees with a strong competitive advantage, which allows them to expand their potential market,” Akad said.
TAIN seals second Dutch online partnership
Land-based operator Casino City has become the latest Dutch firm to select its partner for online gambling in preparation for regulatory progress in 2014.
Online gaming platform supplier TAIN will provide the casino group with a full range of gaming systems including casino, poker, sportsbook and payment services.
Casino City, Amsterdam’s largest casino operator with five venues in the city, follows in the footsteps of fellow land-based firms Holland Casino and Krijco in signing an online gaming deal.
The country’s egaming legislation is expected to make progress in early 2014, with many predicting the market will be up and running by the start of 2015.
Egaming IT services provider Ardenta has achieved ISO/IEC 20000 standard IT service management certification from the British Standards Institute.
