eGR award winners decided at judging day
Judging for headline categories including Operator of the Year took place at Wentworth Golf Club last week.
eGaming Review‘s panel of judges has agreed the winners of the headline categories at this year’s eGR Operator Awards following a Dragon’s Den-style day of pitching at Wentworth Golf Club last week.
Representatives of all shortlisted operators in the relevant categories were invited to Wentworth Golf Club in Berkshire, where they pitched to judges from the highest echelons of the egaming industry.
Each candidate was given five minutes to present their case, before a five-minute question-and-answer session with the judges.
The categories assessed at Wentworth included operator of the year, poker operator of the year and sports betting operator of the year.
Gareth Edwards, 888 director of poker, said: “I think the new judging process is a good format. It gives us the opportunity to be face to face with the judges and answer any questions they may have.”
Bet365 business development manager Jon Moss added: “The judging process is a good idea, it gives you the chance to explain yourself rather than just contribute facts and figures”
The awards ceremony will be held at The Roundhouse in London on 26 November, and will be hosted by comedian Jimmy Carr.
