BetVictor strikes Chelsea FC betting partnership
Gibraltar-based operator ramps up marketing efforts in global deal with the Premier League champions
BetVictor has signed a deal with Chelsea Football Club to become the English Premier League champions’ new global betting and gaming partner.
As part of the deal, Chelsea will promote BetVictor branding across its 42,000-seater stadium and in addition to new digital marketing campaigns the Gibraltar-based operator will also offer enhanced prices and special markets for the club.
BetVictor said the deal would increase its visibility in international markets – the firm currently operators a brand in the Asia, a market where Premier League coverage is widely consumed.
BetVictor’s new chief executive Andreas Meinrad said he was pleased with the partnership deal, which comes just weeks after revealing his plans for a major shake-up at the company.
“We are delighted to announce our partnership as the global betting partner of the Premier League champions,” Meinrad said. “Chelsea is the perfect fit to meet our needs as we continue to grow,” he added.
Earlier this month Meinrad announced he intends to take the operator to “the next level” as the firm begins hiring for a variety of senior roles including CFO, chief commercial officer, director of casino and poker and head of acquisition.
