Bet365 dominates Oddschecker March rankings
Online giant takes nearly a quarter of all horse racing clicks pushing long-term rival Betfair down to second spot
Bet365 reclaimed the top spot of Oddschecker’s monthly bet slip click rankings for March from long-term rival Betfair following another strong showing in horseracing clicks.
The operator registered 20.31% of clicks across the whole of Oddschecker for March, up from 17.84% in February, while the Stoke-headquartered firm’s showing on horse racing was even more impressive, at 24.29%.
The company also saw a near 3% rise in UK football clicks to 13.44%.
The bet365 performance proved to be too strong for Betfair, which slipped to second on the March rankings after having seen a fall in both its exchange and sportsbook clicks.
Betfair’s exchange slip clicks fell from 13.71% in February to 11.51% last month while sportsbook, which had enjoyed a period of sustained growth, fell from 5.34% to 5%.
The operator’s horseracing clicks also experienced a sharp decline across the month, down to 17.77% from 22.10% in February.
Elsewhere, BetVictor held onto third place despite a slight drop in total share to 9.97% but will have been buoyed by another strong UK football performance, where it led with a 17.29% share, up from 13.96%.
Paddy Power and William Hill remained in fourth and fifth place, with 8.46% and 7.55% respectively.
Sky Bet (6.95%), Coral (6.29%), Ladbrokes (4.58%), Betfred (3.75%) and Stan James (3.23%) completed the top ten.
