Oddschecker: BetVictor climbs into top four
SkyBet returns to the Top 10 after a month's absence, with Boylesports making way.
BetVictor recorded its highest ever position in the Oddschecker Top 10, enjoying a strong December to rise above William Hill into fourth spot.
The Gibraltar-licensed operator made the most of a busy month for horse racing, increasing its share of market clicks for the sport by 1.8% and seeing its overall share climb to 8.53%, more than half a percentage point ahead of Hills.
Over the last 12 months it has risen three places from seventh in the table, thanks in part to a marketing push involving TV adverts featuring comedians Paddy McGuinness and Paul Kaye. Its current position of fourth is its highest ever.
Elsewhere, SkyBet returned to the table after dropping out of the Top 10 in November, with Boylesports falling away. It is the first time the Irish operator has failed to make the chart since October 2010.
Meanwhile Coral, which recently returned to the Top 10 after more than a year away, rose another place in December, climbing above Ladbrokes into eighth.
The top three remained unchanged, with Betfair maintaining a lead of close to four percentage points over bet365 due to a strong football performance during a busy period for the Premier League. Its share of market clicks for football rose by 5% month-over-month, largely at the expense of Stan James which saw its overall share drop by nearly a full percentage point as a consequence.
