Sportech’s Americas COO steps down
David Schreff leaves role after just eight months
Sportech’s Americas COO David Schreff has left the company after just eight months in the role.
Schreff was appointed in December and handed responsibility for overseeing the London-listed operator’s activities in the US and Latin American markets.
Schreff has left Sportech to run his own Connecticut-based consultancy Bedare Sports & Entertainment.
He has worked in the sports, entertainment and media sector for more than 30 years, having held a number of board director, executive and senior management roles in leading organizations including the National Basketball Association, Walt Disney, Marvel Entertainment and Viacom.

Full Tilt Poker reveals new tour ambassadors
Full Tilt Poker has named four ‘tour ambassadors’ who will represent the online poker operator at the UK & Ireland Poker Tour (UKIPT).
The players will also play on Full Tilt Poker’s website as ‘red pros’, before representing the site at the Galway Poker Festival, its first live event since being taken over by Rational Group last year. FTP took over sponsorship of the event from fellow Rational Group company PokerStars earlier this year.
The Rational Group Brand said in a statement that the UKIPT ambassadors form one of three groups of live event tour representatives for Full Tilt Poker. The online poker room has previously announced details of its representatives on both the Brazil Series of Poker (BSOP) and Eureka Poker Tour.
The ambassadors for the UKIPT tour include Dermot Blain, who is one of Ireland’s best known professional poker players and has earned lifetime live tournament earnings of over $1.3m. Also representing Full Tilt Poker are British pros Sinem Melin, Martins Adeniya, and Ben Jenkins.
“These players are working with us to create exciting new live experiences that will leave UKIPT players with memories that extend well beyond the felt.” said Dustin Iannotti, Full Tilt Poker’s senior manager of pro, celebrity & VIP marketing.
IG Group has announced in a statement that Jonathan Davie will step down from his role as chairman in October 2014 after 9 years on the IG Board, with his successor expected to be named in March. Chairman of the audit committee Martin Jackson will also leave the board at the 2014 annual general meeting.
Gaming testing laboratory and technical consultancy Gaming Laboratories International (GLI) has hired Greg Sylvester as the firm’s new director of systems engineering. Sylvester has previously held roles at Intel Corporation including senior product marketing engineering manager and senior level program manager.
Australian poker pro Jackie Glazier has left Ivey Poker to join 888poker as a poker ambassador. Glazier was recently the last woman standing at the 2013 WSOP Main Event.
