LeoVegas aims big with multi-million pound UK launch
Mobile casino operator partners with the Mirror and the Sun with target of being a “leading mobile player” by the end of the year
Mobile casino operator LeoVegas is launching a multi-million pound marketing push as part of its plans to become a leading player in the UK’s lucrative mobile gaming market.
The Swedish firm has signed a number of media partnerships including with the Sun and the Mirror newspapers, along with a host of media activity due to go live in the first half of 2014.
CEO Johan Styren said the aim is establish the business as a “leading mobile player” in the UK by the end of the year.
“The UK market is very crowded but we are looking at innovative ways to cut through and continue the rapid growth that the business has seen in the Nordic markets over the last two years,” he told eGaming Review.
Genting Alderney launches online sportsbook
Genting Alderney has entered the UK sports betting market for the first time following the launch of its sportsbook site in conjunction with platform provider FSB Technology.
GentingBet was soft launched in October with both a desktop and a mobile version using FSB Tech’s managed sports betting solution.
The branded sportsbook is fully integrated into Genting Alderney’s new online platform and will allow it to converge its digital offering with its retail presence of 44 UK casinos.

Gamesys to launch Take Me Out-themed games
London-based egaming operator Gamesys has signed an exclusive content partnership with television production company FremantleMedia to launch Take Me Out-themed bingo and casino games.
The deal will see Gamesys launch a bingo game based on the ITV dating show on its jackpotjoy.com site later this month, followed by a series of slots and instant-win products in the coming months.
The games are to be designed for both online and mobile devices, and the show’s host Paddy McGuinness is to feature by providing bespoke audio and visual content.
Full Tilt awards casino brief to Leander Games
Full Tilt has signed a deal with third-party software supplier Leander Games as it readies itself for its real-money casino debut this spring.
The deal will see Leander supply as many as 25 online games to the new casino from Full Tilt, when it launches in the UK in the coming months.
Leander was selected following a competitive three-month tender process and becomes parent company Rational Group’s first content partner after it decided to expand its product range outside of poker.
“This is a fantastic deal which will transform the shape and size of our business,” Steven Matsell, Leander Games CEO, told eGaming Review.
Bingo.com targets growth with “unique” social launch
Malta-licensed operator Bingo.com is preparing to launch a new social bingo product in what it describes as a “pivotal year” for the company after recording a 10% year-on-year rise in 2013 revenues.
The firm is now preparing to launch its first social casino product Trophy Bingo which Williams recently told eGaming Review would follow a similar format to Candy Crush in relation to levels, storylines, challenges and game mechanics.
“While the cash gambling market has opportunities, we believe that the social casino sector currently has more potential for a bingo focused product,” Williams said. “Trophy Bingo will be a totally unique bingo game in the market and features patent-pending game mechanics.”
US and Italy focus for Probability growth
Mobile gaming operator Probability said it would look to expand the business with new product launches in the UK and Italy, after recording its second quarter of revenue growth with Italian up by more than a third in the three months ending December 2013.
“We have a number of exciting product launches in the pipeline for the next few months both for the UK and Italy where we are also preparing to launch our first white label offering,” Probability CEO Charles Cohen said.
He also confirmed that discussions with a major US casino operator, first revealed in the firm’s previous trading update, are “proceeding well”.
Sporting Solutions extends in-running football service
Sporting Solutions has announced it has increased its in-running football service as a result of its partnership sports data service provider RunningBall.
The B2B sports solutions provider now offers more than 4,000 in-running games per month due to its access to a network of 1,100 RunningBall scouts based at live events providing real-time updates.
In addition to the in-play service, Sporting Solutions has also extending its pre-match service to include additional leagues while also enhancing the number of player related markets available to customers.
Attheraces to enter sports rights market
Attheraces.com (ATR) announced its intention to enter the sports rights market today with the official launch of its in-house streaming division.
Operating under the standalone brand Sports Mediastream, the streaming service is part of a company-wide strategy to strengthen its in-house capabilities.
According to ATR, Sports Mediastream is already streaming around five million live and archive horse race streams every month to 16 partner bookmaker websites in the UK and Ireland, a service which it had previously outsourced to Perform.
Genting Alderney launches new live casino
Genting Alderney has launched a new live casino in conjunction with software supplier Comtrade Gaming for its London-based VIP casino Crockfords.
Crockfords Live offers members of the exclusive Mayfair casino, which is owned by parent company Genting Group, the opportunity to play an array of casino games online through the online Genting platform.
The games have been customised to Crockfords’ in-house rules, bet limits, dealing standards and player incentives, while customers also have access to Genting’s recently launched online sportsbook.
