Titanbet teams up with The Sun for UK push
Online sportsbook operator joins forces with Britain's biggest selling daily newspaper to sponsor its daily betting column
Titanbet.co.uk has signed a multi-strand marketing deal with UK newspaper The Sun as the operator continues to try and grab market share in the post-PoC British market.
Under the deal, Titanbet.co.uk branding will appear on journalist Andy Totham’s daily Tot’s Tips betting preview, and in the Saturday edition of the newspaper which has extensive coverage of the weekend’s football fixtures.
The partnership also allows Titanbet.co.uk access to The Sun’s pay-per-view customer-base through its online site, with social media tie-ins also in the pipeline.
“The Sun’s betting column will give us excellent exposure for the Titanbet.co.uk brand and great reach when it comes to sports bettors as we look to execute our launch strategy in the UK,” Titanbet.co.uk spokesman Russell Yershon, said.
“Throughout the football season we’ll be offering exclusives to readers to use on the desktop and mobile platform, including topical specials on the big events,” he added.
The news comes after Titanbet.co.uk announced it had signed its first UK horseracing sponsorship deal with The Jockey Club Racecourses at Kempton Park, as reported in eGaming Review last week.
The Sun has previously tried to launch its own online sportsbook, and earlier this year the newspaper revealed it was in final stage talks over a deal that would have seen BetVictor supply a platform aimed at its six million readers.
A change in ownership at BetVictor saw the deal collapse, but The Sun said it remained committed to launching an online sportsbook having trademarked the name ‘Sun Bets’ and the tagline ‘back yourself’.
