Bet365 maintains lead in Oddschecker rankings
Operator taking almost one in four referrals from horse racing and almost one in five across the whole site for second month in a row
Bet365 held on to top spot in the Oddchecker monthly bet slip click rankings for April, as it fended off Betfair for the second month in a row.
The Stoke-headquartered operator registered 20.79% of clicks across the period, helped by a 24.25% showing in horse racing during Grand National month. The firm’s overall clicks were slightly up on the 20.31% it registered in March.
In second place, Betfair’s clicks increased more dramatically to 17.57%, after a poor March which had seen the firm slip to 16.51%, but it was not enough to take the top position it last occupied in February when the firm accumulated 19.05% of total slip clicks
Betfair’s market share was driven by a dramatic improvement in horse racing, which was up 12% on March to 19.92% of all clicks.
The top ten positions remained unchanged across the month as BetVictor held onto third place with 9.79% and continued to lead in UK football clicks despite dropping to 15.90% from 17.29% in March.
Paddy Power came in fourth with 8.06%, slightly down on its March share, and performed best in tennis where it registered the third most clicks with 11.95%.
William Hill (7.86%) and Sky Bet (6.64%) came in fifth and sixth place respectively, while Coral (5.76%), Ladbrokes (4.57%), Betfred (4.08%) and Stan James (2.98%) rounded out the top ten.
