Betfair starts casino push with first TV gaming ad in two years
Operator's new advert to be broadcast across 11 channels and backed by a "broad digital campaign"
Betfair has started a new wide-ranging promotional push of its online gaming products, backed by the operators’ first gaming ad on TV in two years.
The new ad, which aired for the first time over the weekend, is based on the creative concept unveiled by the operator in August, in partnership with ad agency Lucky Generals.
The 30-second clip features the same song â Higher Ground by TNGHT â and voice over, this time focusing on the anticipation of casino games rather than sports.
“It’s the spin of the wheel, the turn of the card, the press of the button. Experience the ease of it all with Betfair casino. Join now for your free £10 bonus,” the voice-over says.
The advert, which will screen on Sky, Channel 4, ITV2, ITV4, E4, More4, Film4, Dave, Gold, Watch and BT Sport, will be supported by a “broad digital campaign”, including social media, CRM and on-site messaging.
The operator has been ramping up its CRM efforts in particular in recent weeks, with new customers receiving up to five emails in the week after their first casino play.
Betfair’s casino marketing push comes after the company launched cash-out roulette last week, which is expected to boost cross-sell from sports betting and increase player session times.
Last year it also unveiled a new Macau-themed online casino in partnership with TGP Games, just weeks after rival operator William Hill released a similar product.
