Coral launches UK’s first customisable player prop bets
Customers able to create more than 1.3 million unique markets over a single round of Premier League matches
Coral has launched a new set of markets enabling punters to create their own prop bets on individual player performances across a variety of leagues and sports.
The new Player Bets product will initially be available on football, NFL, NBA and rugby league.
Bets that Coral customers will be able to create include single player, combined player and head-to-head bets â a specific example being a footballer to make more than 75 successful passes during a match.
The technology for the product, first launched in Australia, is provided by Digital Sports Tech, which perfected its player performance algorithms with the help of a free-to-play DFS platform in the US.
Ladbrokes and Gala Coral complete merger
The Ladbrokes-Gala Coral merger was finally completed this week, bringing to a conclusion a more than year-long process to create a new gambling heavyweight.
Ladbrokes plc has officially changed its name to Ladbrokes Coral Group plc and this morning began trading on the London Stock Exchange as the enlarged group.
The announcement comes after the two operators were officially given clearance to complete the £2.3bn merger by the UK’s Competition and Markets Authority after the disposal of 360 betting shops (LBO).
The competition watchdog gave the green light for Ladbrokes and Coral to sell 322 LBOs to Betfred, 37 to Stan James and one to Bet 21, after ruling earlier this year a sale of between 350 and 400 shops was required for the deal to go ahead.
