Betclic continues Portugal push with new football deal
Operator signs agreement with Vitória FC to become the Primeira Liga club's official betting partner for the 2016-17 season
Betclic has continued its push into the Portuguese market after securing a betting partnership deal with Primeira Liga football club Vitória FC.
The deal will see the France-headquartered operator become the team’s official betting partner for the rest of 2016-17 season and offer its supporters exclusive promotions via Betclic.pt.
“It is with great pleasure that we announce this partnership with Betclic, a company with great international reputation in the field of sports betting,” Fernando Oliveira (pictured), president of Vitória FC, said.
“In addition to the benefits it brings to the club, this agreement will also bring benefits to our fans, always with an eye to the users to play responsibly.”
João Caboz (pictured), Betclic’s country manager for Portgual, added: “We are delighted that Betclic is associated with Vitória FC, an historical club in Portguese football.”
The deal comes just months after Betclic became the first operator to launch an online sportsbook in the newly regulated Portuguese online gambling market.
Betclic has since followed up the sports betting launch with a new Portugal-facing online casino which the operator debuted earlier this month, featuring games from Swedish developer Thunderkick.
