Mark Skaggs has left the social casino developer after seven years
Social casino developer Zynga has confirmed SVP of games Mark Skaggs has left the firm after more than seven yearsâ service. [private]
Skaggs joined Zynga in November 2008 and was responsible for developing and launching the hugely popular FarmVille and CityVille titles.
In an email to staff, seen by eGR NA, Zynga CEO Mark Pincus said he was âappreciative and thankfulâ for the player focused passion and creativity Skaggs infused in Zynga over the years.
Skaggsâ role will be filled by Lincoln Brown and Joe Kaminkow, who both become SVP of games.
âTheir business and creative leadership has driven the impressive growth of our slots business, with bookings up 274% year over year in Q2,â Pincus wrote about Brown and Kaminkow.
âWeâre excited to continue investing with their teams in their new slate and the ongoing integration of the Rising Tide team,â he added.
Zynga also announced the appointment of Laura Revenko as its new chief people officer, who has been tasked with strengthening recruitment from universities and improving learning and development.
Skaggsâ departure comes just weeks after Zynga acquired Rising Tide Games for an undisclosed sum.
