PointsBet Canada adds marketing muscle with new VP hire
Brand marketing veteran Dave Rivers links up with sportsbook operator’s Canadian arm
PointsBet Canada has appointed Dave Rivers as its new VP of marketing in the latest hire of a concerted recruitment spree by the Australian operator’s Canadian subsidiary. A veteran of the marketing sector, Rivers spent 18 years at Canadian telecommunications company Bell in several marketing-facing directorial roles. In his most recent role with the 140-year-old telecoms firm, he was responsible for driving the company’s national sponsorship strategy and portfolio from contract negotiations to activation and content creation. Rivers has also held senior leadership and ownership positions with three start-up businesses in the travel and marketing sector. In his new role as VP of marketing, Rivers will report into PointsBet Canada CCO Nic Sulsky.
