New Jersey egaming revenues reach record high in April
 Online casino and poker revenues both up more than 30% year-on-year
New Jersey has posted its highest ever online gaming win after operators earned $17m in April, according to new figures from the Division of Gaming Enforcement (DGE).
The $17m figure was a 33.8% leap on last year and also marked a 10% increase from March 2016 â itself a record-setting month â making April the fourth month in a row with a new online gaming record.
Online gaming win for the first four months of the year now stands at $61.9m, a 29.3% year-on-year increase.
Casino continued to be the dominant online vertical, accounting for 84% of the monthly gaming win, with a 34% growth rate. The Golden Nugget and its NYX gaming platform posted the largest online casino win at $3.3m, closely followed by the Borgata and its Pala Interactive platform.
Online poker also enjoyed a bumper month with revenues up 30.4% to $2.6m.
April marked the first full month with PokerStars active in the market, and the Amaya-owned brand has already established itself as the dominant player with almost 46% of revenues.
PokerStarsâ land-based partner Resorts Casino, doubled its poker revenue compared to March to $1.18m, while key rivals reported double digit declines.
The Borgata and its PartyPoker offering was down around 25% month-on-month to $745,000, while Caesars Interactive saw poker revenues fall 20% to $664,000.
Amayaâs success in New Jersey will be a welcome bit of news for the operator ahead of its Q1 earning report on Monday.
The firmâs CEO David Baazov is still under investigation by Canadian authorities for insider trading charges. Baazov has pleaded not guilty to the charges.
