GSN hires Dan Wiegenfeld to head up social casino operations
 Former Playtech social gaming head and diwip CEO hired to âfurther growth of casino studioâ
 
GSN Games has appointed Playtechâs former head of social gaming, Dan Wiegenfeld, to lead its social game operations of GSN Casino and GSN Grand Casino, EGR North America has learned.
Wiegenfeld was recently named vice-president and general manager of GSNâs Casino studio and will lead teams across San Francisco, Boston, London and Bangalore.
He previously spent three years as Playtechâs head of social gaming between 2013 and 2015, and prior to that was CEO of Israeli social games start-up diwip.

San Francisco-based GSN has been on a rapid growth trajectory in recent years, having opened a new India office in May, and made four significant acquisitions over the last two years, including Plumbee and Gamedonia in February and April of this year.
