DraftKings signs Belmont Stakes sponsorship deal
Daily fantasy sports operator adds horse racing to its ever growing roster of sports partnerships
DraftKings has struck an agreement with the New York Racing Association to become the presenting partner of the 2015 Belmont Stakes Racing Festival, which takes place this weekend. [private]
Under the agreement, DraftKingsâ branding will appear on all horses and gate crew and the site will have branded cooler blanket on the winning horse of the Belmont Stakes as well as a player lounge and VIP hospitality area.
âThe Belmont Stakes is one of the premier events in sports and we’re thrilled to be a part of this year’s festival that will culminate with a historic run for the Triple Crown,â DraftKings CEO Jason Robins said.
âThis partnership allows us to offer our DraftKings community even more one-of-a-kind experiences that they will never forget and introduce our offerings to new sports fans across the country.â
The news comes after DraftKings revealed it has joined forces with auto racing series NASCAR, having previously inked sponsorship deals with WWE Wrestling and the Ultimate Fighting Championship.
DraftKings will also be offering players who enter an MLB content this week the chance to win four tickets and VIP access to the Belmont Stakes festival.
