MGM Resorts and BetMGM unify responsible gaming initiatives
GameSense to provide same tools and information to operator’s retail and online customers
MGM Resorts and BetMGM are officially unifying their responsible gaming (RG) initiatives, which will enable both online and retail customers to leverage the same tools and information promoting safer play provided by RG partner GameSense. The initiative represents the latest manifestation of MGM Resorts’ five-year partnership with GameSense, an industry-leading platform that furnishes players with positive, transparent and proactive conversations about how to gamble responsibly. The timing of the integration also coincides with MGM Resorts and BetMGM joining the National Council on Problem Gambling as part of their promotion of Problem Gambling Awareness Month throughout March. GameSense has long provided MGM Resorts customers with a variety of RG tools, which now include slot machines featuring QR codes that offer access to relevant information and educational materials from GameSense. In addition, more than 180 GameSense advisors are staffed at MGM Rewards desks across the country, with GameSense signage featured prominently throughout properties and on marquees. “As we enter our fifth year with GameSense, we remain focused on offering new and innovative resources to our guests, designed to increase responsible gaming awareness and to promote healthy play,” said MGM Resorts CEO and president Bill Hornbuckle. “GameSense remains an instrumental part of our guest service model and we’re confident that it has and will continue to make a difference.” With the integration of GameSense into BetMGM’s online platforms, BetMGM customers will now be able to take advantage of an expanded suite of responsible gaming products, including information on how to set betting limits and resources for customers and their families to receive support and assistance for anyone concerned about problem gambling.
