FanDuel adds Jon Rothstein to media talent roster in content-led deal
Sports analyst and media personality inks multi-year betting partnership with US sports betting market leader
FanDuel has agreed a multi-year partnership to become the exclusive sports betting partner of college basketball analyst and media personality Jon Rothstein.
As part of the agreement, Rothstein will create unique content on his social channels where he will discuss betting in conjunction with his college basketball coverage.
He will also appear as a frequent contributor on FanDuel’s digital shows and programming, write articles to FanDuel publications, and collaborate with FanDuel on custom offerings and promotions.
As part of the partnership, FanDuel will also have access to Rothstein’s name, likeness, and popular taglines, such as “We Sleep in May.”
FanDuel and Rothstein will collaborate to create custom experiences for college basketball fans in the FanDuel Sportsbook app.
Rothstein expressed his excitement at partnering with FanDuel, stressing the need to find the right opportunity when looking at content partnerships.
“The digital media space has drastically changed in the last five years and I’ve been searching for the right opportunity to bring all of my content to one place – this is that opportunity,” Rothstein said.
“College basketball fans have an insatiable desire for content and I look forward to partnering with FanDuel to give them the best content that they can receive each and every day.
“There is no ceiling with this marriage and I can’t wait to get started,” he added.

Rothstein joined WFAN and CBS Sports Network in 2010 as the station’s College Basketball Insider.
As part of his duties, the Ithaca College graduate is a regular studio analyst on Inside College Basketball CBS Sports Network’s weekly college basketball show alongside Adam Zucker, Alaa Abdelnaby, Mateen Claves, and Wally Szczerbiak.
Rothstein has also worked for both ESPN Radio in New York, as well as MSG Network, where he served as a college basketball insider from 2007-10.
FanDuel Group chief marketing officer Mike Raffensperger welcomed the new partnership.
“Jon is an emerging talent with a passionate following, and we’re looking forward to working with him as we bring together sports betting and college basketball,” Raffensperger said.

Rothstein is the newest member of FanDuel’s roster of sports betting talent and influencers which includes Pat McAfee, Jordan Spieth, Kenny Smith, Colin Cowherd, Charles Barkley, Cousin Sal, JJ Zachariason, Dr DisRespect, and Tim the Tat Man.
FanDuel also operates its own sports betting and daily fantasy content offerings that includes numberFire, The Duel, a podcast network with a total of seven podcasts, and More Ways to Win on TVG hosted by Lisa Kerney.
