Kevin Garnett becomes BetMGM brand ambassador
‘The Big Ticket’ links up with US sports betting heavyweight and will feature in marketing and promotional campaigns
BetMGM has signed NBA Hall of Famer Kevin Garnett as its newest brand ambassador.
In his new role, the ‘Big Ticket’ will be featured in upcoming BetMGM marketing campaigns, promotions, social media content, and fan events.
Garnett joins other BetMGM brand ambassadors including Hollywood star Jamie Foxx, NHL legend Wayne Gretzky and NFL Superbowl champion Marshawn Lynch.
BetMGM chief revenue officer Matt Prevost welcomed the signing of Garnett to the sports betting firm’s increasing stable of marketing personalities.
“Kevin Garnett brings a unique energy to everything he does, on and off the court,” said Prevost.
“As the basketball season tips off, we look forward to welcoming Kevin to the BetMGM family and working with him on a variety of fan-focused promotions,” he added.
The 15-time NBA All-Star played for the Minnesota Timberwolves, Boston Celtics, and Brooklyn Nets over the course of 21 seasons and even starred in the 2019 Netflix film Uncut Gems alongside comedian Adam Sandler.
Since retiring from the NBA, Garnett has become an established entrepreneur and recently co-founded Gaming Society, a gaming and content platform that prioritizes inclusivity and education and highlights the athlete’s point of view in the betting space.
The mission of Gaming Society is to educate casual fans and potential bettors about sports betting concepts and terminology.
It also publishes a weekly newsletter that aims to educate readers about sports betting.
In addition, Garnett has founded the Content Cartel, a production company dedicated to producing multi-platform content.
