Online sports betting technology provider hires industry consultant Matthew Colledge as its first chief technology officer.
Online sports betting technology provider Offsidegaming has appointed Matthew Colledge as its first chief technology officer.
Colledge has close to a decade’s worth of experience in online gaming in the UK and Costa Rica as an independent consultant and previously with telephone and internet wagering company YouWager.com.
Offsidegaming CEO Matt Jellicoe said: “We want to ensure that our partners continue to receive the best possible service. Too many companies in this space still fail their clients in terms of technical service therefore Matt is tasked to continue building on our reputation for delivery.”

William Hill Online offices resume operations after 10-day walkout
William Hill Online’s marketing operation in Tel Aviv has resumed work 10 days after its 185 employees walked out in protest following the resignation of former WHO chief marketing officer Eyal Sanoff and rumours their jobs were under threat.
Despite William Hill suggesting it would release a statement earlier today, joint venture partner Playtech was first to alert the stock market saying that business had returned to normal in Israel. The JV’s other customer centres in Bulgaria and Manila, that staged copycat walkouts last week, have also returned to normal, William Hill said in a statement shortly afterwards.
Mor Weizer, CEO of Playtech, said: “Having been asked by William Hill’s chief executive, Ralph Topping, to assist, I am very pleased that this issue is now behind William Hill Online. It is very positive for both shareholders that the business can now continue to move forward.”
Paddy Power CIO leaves after only nine months
Paddy Power CIO Kevin O’Connor has left the Irish operator after only nine months to join NYSE Technologies, the commercial technology division of NYSE Euronext.
Scott Yeates has joined egaming consultancy Hybrid Interaction our its new head of poker consulting services. Yeates joins Hybrid from PokerStars, where he spent nearly five years leading its VIP division.
O’Connor was part of the company’s management executive group reporting to COO Breon Corcoran, who was reportedly recently interviewed and subsequently turned down the opportunity to become Betfair’s new chief executive. It is not known why O’Connor left the business.
People news in brief
Ken Muir has left his role as head business insight at SkyBet after almost eight years at the operator in a bid to “pursue other opportunities”. He has been replaced by internal candidate Wayne Field who moves after spending four years as a senior marketing analyst. Previous to SkyBet Field was a marketing database analyst at William Hill.
Scott Yeates has joined egaming consultancy Hybrid Interaction as its new head of poker consulting services. Yeates was previously at PokerStars where he ran its VIP programme for five years.
Garry Hope has left Victor Chandler to join Betfred as CRM executive. Hope was in a similar role at VC for two years.
