William Hill unveils first Aus advertising campaign
UK operator launches its inaugural 'It's Your Call' TV advert after completing rebranding of Sportingbet in Australia
William Hill has this week kicked off its first Australian TV advertising campaign just two weeks after the UK operator rebranded Sportingbet under the William Hill moniker.
The inaugural 60-second ad was created by marketing communications firm Clemenger BBDO Sydney and follows the operator’s pledge to invest an additional £5m in marketing funds throughout the year.
The TV advert debuted on Monday under an ‘It’s Your Call’ slogan and will be followed by shorter TV spots in addition to mobile, print, radio and social media ads.
William Hill’s head of brand and acquisition, Warren Hebard, told the Australian press the company was excited by the launch and buoyant its message would strike a chord with its target audience.
“We’re confident it captures not only the essence of our brand but launches it off a consumer insight that all Australian’s can relate to, that you respect a person with the confidence to make a call,” he said.
Williamhill.com.au was launched in late February after Sportingbet became the first of the firm’s Australian businesses to be rolled into the William Hill brand, with Centrebet and Tom Waterhouse to follow in the coming months.
