William Hill recruits Entain head to lead marketing strategy
Michael Sheehan returns to Hills after stint with London-listed Entain to develop UK marketing strategy
William Hill has reappointed its former head of social media to become the operator’s director of marketing strategy and planning.
Michael Sheehan rejoins Hills after spending nearly five years with Entain after leaving Hills in August 2017.
Sheehan originally joined Entain as head of partnerships for Ladbrokes and Coral before eventually becoming head of strategy, planning and business development for Entain in August 2019.
In Sheehan’s first stint with Hills, he worked his way up the social media ranks starting as Irish website manager in February 2011 before being promoted to head of social media in March 2014.
In his new role, Sheehan will be responsible for the development and execution of Hills’ UK marketing strategy. He will be based in Gibraltar.
Posting on LinkedIn, Sheehan said: “After four amazing years at Entain, my journey has come to an end. An amazing team of talented leaders and colleagues, I will miss you all terribly and I thank you for all the wonderful memories you gave me.
“Today however marks the beginning of the next chapter and a return to a business where my career in Gibraltar began.
“To say I’m excited would be a complete understatement and I can’t wait to get to know and work with all my new global colleagues over the coming months and years,” he added.
