William Hill raids GoCompare for new digital marketing chief
Price comparison site’s marketing director Kristian Welch named digital marketing director
William Hill has appointed GoCompare.com’s former marketing director, Kristian Welch, as the operator’s new digital marketing director, EGR Marketing has learned.
Welch, who will join the bookmaker on 16 January, will be responsible for marketing for the Online business across all media and report into Cem Miralay, William Hill’s chief customer officer.
He has led GoCompare.com’s marketing efforts since May 2016, having previously been hired by the price comparison site on an interim basis.
Prior to joining GoCompare.com, Welch also held senior marketing roles at The Telegraph, Skyscanner and Avis Budget Group.
His appointment at William Hill is part of a trio of recent hires by the London-listed operator, including a new director of gaming P&L and chief information officer for its Online business.
