Former England international Stuart Pearce is the face of Betfred's latest ad series
Betfred have created six new adverts with production company Zut Media for the bookie’s Sky Sports TV campaign ahead of the new football season.
The ads feature Stuart Pearce as he returns to represent Betfred for a third time and the first of the clips has been made available online.
The betting company, which also agreed a sponsorship deal with Bolton Wanderers ahead of the new season, said it chose Pearce for his “no nonsense opinion” and “instantly recognisable voice”.
The campaign aims to compare ‘old-school’ aspects of football with the modern game alongside traditional and modern betting methods.

Head of Betfred marketing Gemma Strath said: “After working with Stuart for the last 12 months we went out to our customers to get their views – and the vast majority loved him. Our punters think Stuart is a great fit for Betfred. He’s a ‘no nonsense’ kind of guy much like Fred and we used this to fuel our initial creative sessions with Zut Media.
“Our overarching theme was ‘Nostalgia’ which positioned Stuart as the ‘voice of truth’ in today’s modern game and I am really looking forward to sharing this campaign with our audience.”
