It is well documented that online gaming has remained relatively exempt from the perils of recession while the rest of the business world appears to be downsizing. Whenever growth occurs, you notice an influx of recruiters looking to enter the market.
However, since the economic downturn I have noticed an even greater number of recruitment companies attempting to enter the gaming space, which is largely down to their current markets being in decline.
A growing industry should always be willing to embrace new channels which can assist in growth, but many of our clients have found that new entrants often lack even basic knowledge of the industry.
Market knowledge earns respect; and our clients see the value in enlisting the services of people who genuinely understand their organisation.
This has resulted in a number of them looking to commit to our services beyond “the norm”, with the issue of trust becoming a major factor in choosing a recruitment provider.
This is earned over time and the foundations are built through providing a success-driven, professional service over a prolonged period.
Our efforts, and those of our contemporaries, in ensuring this have allowed us to dedicate more resources internally to fulfilling our clients’ needs and the reciprocal levels of commitment have never been higher than at this time.
