Unibet revamps Evolution-powered live casino
Operator cites capacity issues and Euro 2016 opportunity as drivers for new launch
Unibet has revamped its live casino in partnership with Evolution Gaming, increasing the number of tables on offer to customers and rebranding its look.
The firm, which unveiled its new live casino last week, said it had experienced “tremendous growth” in live casino over the last few years, resulting in full capacity of its two Evolution studios in Riga and Malta.
And the Stockholm-listed operator took the decision to increase its live dealer offering from 13 to 20 tables, with the option of adding further tables in the future.
“Overall, the offering now represents one of the absolute best on the market,” Daniel Eskola, Unibet chief product officer, told eGaming Review.
“The previous environment was not big enough to accommodate the number of players launching the live casino product,” he added. “As customer experience is top of the mind for us, there was an urgent need to drastically increase the amount of tables on offer. This also gave us an opportunity to completely rebrand and revamp the studios, modernise the look and feel and create a better representation of our brand values.”
Eskola also said it was “crucial” the firm launched the new environment before the start of this summer’s European Championship finals.
“It is no secret that the cross sell from sportsbook to live casino works well,” said Eskola. “The Euros brings in a lot of new depositing players so it is important that the players easily find a seat at the blackjack tables.”
Included in the changes is an upgrade of roulette to Evolution’s Immersive lite table, and an exclusive casino hold’em table will be added to its offering shortly.
Smaller additions include customised roulette turrets and cufflinks for male presenters.
News of Unibet’s new live casino comes after GVC Holdings brand CasinoClub recently launched a live dealer product for the first time in partnership with Evolution Gaming.
