Unibet partners with NYX Interactive
Swedish-listed operator looks to increase mobile offering following strong Q1 results
Swedish-listed operator Unibet has announced a deal with gaming systems developer NYX Interactive to incorporate the supplier’s game content within its online casino gaming suite.
NYX Interactive, part of the NYX Gaming Group, will provide Unibet with HTML5 and flash games content for both PC and mobile through its Open Gaming System (OGS) and MOVE platform.
The deal was described as an important part of Unibet’s mobile strategy by Daniel Eskola, the firm’s head of gaming. “With mobile as a focus, adding the flash and mobile offering from NYX makes a perfect match with our strategic direction,” Eskola said.
Unibet recorded strong revenue figures for the first quarter of 2013 with mobile accounting for 16% of the company’s gross winnings revenue.
David Flynn, CEO of NYX Interactive added that the company was “thrilled” to partner with Unibet based on the operator’s strength within the mobile space.
“This fits extremely well with our MOVE powered by NYX OGS product offering,” he said. “I am certain that together we can assist Unibet with increasing their growth in this exciting area.”
The Swedish provider launched its MOVE mobile casino suite in September 2012 providing a selection of casino games developed for smart phones and tablet devices.
