Unibet and BetVictor join Betfred in turnover-based racing data deal
Betway and BoyleSports also sign up to the new streaming agreement with At The Races
Four major betting operators have signed up to the new streaming and data deal with racing which sees fees based on turnover rather than fixed costs.
Unibet, BetVictor, Betway and BoyleSports have sealed a deal with At The Races (ATR), alongside Betfred which became the first bookmaker to adopt the model back in November.
The switch will see the bookmakers move away from a pence-per-stream pricing model to one where ATR gets a share of turnover on all racing bets placed.
The contracts, which will commence in January 2020, will cover the delivery of streamed pictures and raceday data, which ATR sells as the licensee for racecourse rights holders in the UK.
All content will be delivered via ATR’s wholly-owned streaming platform, Sport Mediastream.
ATR CEO Matthew Imi said: “We are delighted to have concluded these four important agreements and look forward to working closely with our partners to maximise betting turnover on our racing product.”
