Two senior marketing hires for Paddys
Robin Auld joins as brand director while Danny Russell is named insight director.
BSkyB marketing strategy director Danny Russell (pictured) is one of two new senior marketing appointments made by Paddy Power, joining the Irish firm as insight director.
He is joined by former Domino’s Germany sales and marketing director, who will take up the role of brand director with the Power 50 operator.
Auld has previously also held marketing positions with Carlsberg-Tetley UK and Whitworths Ltd, while before joining BSkyB Russell had served as planning manager for British Airways.
They are the latest in a line of marketing-related appointments from the operator since former Bacardi global brand director Christian Woolfenden, described by Paddys CEO Patrick Kennedy as “One of the top young marketeers in the UK and internationally” arrived as marketing director.
In recent months Mark Singleton joined from Procter & Gamble to take up the role of head of sportsbook marketing, while head of PR and media relations Claire Davies arrived from Hill & Knowlton.
Woolfenden said of the new appointments: “Danny and Robin are hugely experienced, innovative and creative individuals with outstanding track records in a variety of different companies, brands and sectors.
“These are exciting times for the Paddy Power brand as we enter new markets and continue to develop in our existing markets. We now have an exceptional and expanding team that is capable of building on the unique, entertaining and extremely effective campaigns that we have become known for,” he added.
