The Sun’s Fabulous Bingo backs site revamp with new marketing campaign
Playtech-powered News UK brand site undergoes major refresh in aim to appeal to the newspaper pull-out’s half-a-million readers
Fabulous Bingo has undergone a major website redesign and brand refresh to give the product a similar look and feel to The Sun on Sunday’s Fabulous Magazine pull-out.
News UK, which owns The Sun brand, used in-house agency Pulse Creative, to revamp the site in order to replicate The Sun’s “playful and positive tone of voice” and ensure that the Fabulous Magazine brand is echoed throughout.
The new TV advertisement includes the strapline “Own that Fabulous Bingo Moment”, featuring everyday women in everyday settings striking well-known fashion poses.
The firm said more than 1.4 million people currently buy The Sun on Sunday with approximately a third of those doing so for the accompanying Fabulous Magazine.
“We’re thrilled with the results of our brand refresh for Fabulous Bingo, which is a welcome retreat from the loud competitor sites,” Kate Bird, chief marketing officer at The Sun, said.
“Our recent move to a Playtech platform gives us the opportunity to grow the Fabulous Bingo brand as a strong competitor in the marketplace.”
Playtech replaced Gamesys as supplier of Sun Bingo and Fabulous Bingo after signing a five-year deal with News UK in November 2015.
