Svenska Spel hires LeoVegas CMO Petra Blixt
Blixt will join the Swedish operator in January 2020 as head of sales and marketing
Svenska Spel has recruited LeoVegas chief marketing officer (CMO) Petra Blixt as its new head of sales and marketing.
Blixt, who spent more than two years at LeoVegas as marketing director and interim CMO, will begin her new role with Svenska Spel on 20 January 2020.
Blixt had been serving as interim CMO for LeoVegas before the firm recruited Kindred Group Sweden manager Dersim Sylwan to take over at the end of this year.
She will be part of the senior management team at Svenska Spel, reporting directly into Fredrik Wastensson, CEO of Svenska Spel sport & casino.

Wastensson said: “Petra’s knowledge and experience in data-driven marketing and sales will be extremely valuable to us in the work we are currently doing.
“I would also like to emphasise her clear and goal-oriented leadership which, together with a high energy and great execution power, will be important features in running and developing our business,” he added.
Blixt will be responsible for developing the digital marketing and sales processes for Svenska Spel, to help with the operator’s overall goal of “driving a winning digitised change and sales journey”.
At Svenska Spel, she will succeed Mats Eklund, who had been with the business since 1997.
