Superbet joins International Betting Integrity Association
Romanian operator becomes third new member of integrity body in 2020
Superbet has officially joined the International Betting Integrity Association (IBIA) as the organisation seeks to strengthen its protective measures in Eastern Europe.
Under the terms of Superbet’s membership, the company will provide sports betting data to the IBIA’s global monitoring and alert system, which identifies suspicious betting patterns that can be reported to respective sporting bodies.
IBIA CEO Khalid Ali welcomed Superbet’s decision to join the IBIA, highlighting the need to expand the association’s integrity-based coverage of betting.
“Superbet has a particularly strong Central Eastern Europe footprint which will significantly strengthen our coverage in that region,” Ali said.
Superbet head of in-play trading Ivan Gojic cited the IBIA’s aims as being in sync with both Superbet’s corporate goals.
“Superbet’s membership of IBIA is an important part of our international expansion and continued investment in technology and partnerships that best benefit our commercial ambitions and responsible gambling goals,” Gojic said.
Superbet is the third operator to join the IBIA in 2020, following Napoleon Sports and Casino and the IBIA’s first Latam member, Betcris, which joined in May.
The IBIA boasts more than 50 members, including sports betting heavyweights bet365 and GVC. It represents the sector at high-level policy discussion forums including the IOC, UN, Council of Europe and European Commission.
