Snaitech tops Italian online betting rankings for January

Playtech-owned Snaitech has beaten Sisal to top the Italian online betting rankings for January 2022 after posting a gross gaming revenue (GGR) of €17.7m (£14.8m). The operator, which finished atop the rankings for full year 2021, secured a market share of 13.7% for the first month of the year. Flutter Entertainment-owned Sisal finished in second place with a GGR of €17.2m and a market share of 13.32%. Having finished in fourth overall for 2021, bet365 secured the final podium place in January with a GGR of €13.6m and a market share of 10.55%.

SKS365 and Goldbet made up the remainder of the top five operators, having posted GGR of €13.2m and €13.1m, respectively. Elsewhere, Entain brands Eurobet (sixth) and bwin (ninth) managed to secure places in the top 10. Flutter’s PokerStars (11th) and Betfair (16th) brands posted GGR of €2m and €1.4m while William Hill finished in 12th place with a GGR of €1.9m and a market share of 1.48%. However, basing market share as a percentage of turnover, bet365 outstrips the competition as the firm did in the full-year 2021 rankings. The Stoke-on-Trent-based firm posted a turnover of €245.5m and a corresponding market share of 23.7%. Snaitech secured an 11.01% market share off the back of €114m in turnover.
