Sky Bingo adds iPad app to portfolio
New app, optimised for larger screens, enables mini games for the first time on mobile bingo
Sky Betting and Gaming has launched its first iPad-optimised Sky Bingo app with side game functionality introduced for the first time.
The firm optimised its bingo product for the larger screen sizes found on the tablet devices and enabled side games to be played simultaneously in the latest update to its iOS app.
Mini games such as Clover Rollover and Bingo Scratch were among the first to be added, with the operator confirming that more are to be added at a later date.
The new user tour, added to the Sky Bingo app during its last update in March, has also been adapted for the iPad version to detail the differences between the two applications.
The update comes amid a flurry of mobile activity from Sky, with the operator also trialling live streaming of UK domestic football games on its Sky Bet sportsbook app through a deal with Simplestream signed earlier this month.
A successful trial is likely to see more live streaming of English football games in time for the 2014/15 domestic campaign which starts in August, while the operator is also said to be close to be releasing an iPad-optimised version of its Sky Poker app.
