Sky Betting & Gaming rolls out new in-play feature
Bet Tracker collates cash out, bet status and real time match statistics in one place as part of mobile-only update
Sky Betting & Gaming has added a new feature to its smartphone app called Bet Tracker, replacing the appâs old cash out function.
Bet Tracker was added to the app in the lead up to Christmas and brings the appâs cash out, bet status and match statistics function under one button on the appâs front page.
Customers can now access Bet Tracker to keep tabs on their open bets, see how a match is unfolding through the use of real time statistics and cash out on in-running bets.
A television campaign promoting the new feature also started in the build-up to Christmas with frequent TV spots appearing during Sky Sportsâ football coverage, with Sky Bet a prominent fixture on the networkâs news channel.
The update is one of a number of new features added to the Sky Bet sports betting app in recent months, including the roll out of TouchID log-in technology in October which the operator claimed to be an industry first.
Bet Tracker is also similar in nature to the âAcca Trackerâ feature which Ladbrokes rolled out to its mobile sportsbook applications in August, designed to keep users up to date with the status of their accumulator bets as individual matches progress.
Sky last month sold an 80% stake in Sky Betting & Gaming to private equity company CVC Capital Partners for £720m in a deal Sky Bet managing director Richard Flint said would give the operator the âbest of both worldsâ.
