Sky Betting & Gaming ranked fourth for work-life balance in the UK
Leeds-based operator praised for mental health support and flexible home working strategy
Sky Betting & Gaming (SBG) has been named as the fourth best company in the UK for work-life balance by Glassdoor. The Flutter Entertainment-owned operator just missed out on a podium finish after Glassdoor collated employee reviews on the efforts of UK tech companies regarding work-life balance following the Covid-19 pandemic. SBG scored a work-life balance rating of 4.46 with third-placed technology firm Arm scoring 4.47. IT infrastructure provider Softcat finished second with 4.48, while the Office for National Statistics secured a comfortable first place finish with 4.58. All SBG employees are offered the opportunity to work flexibly from their first day with the company, with a mix of remote hours and working from the company’s new Leeds office now available. The operator also affords employees extra days off when getting married or moving house, on top of their annual holiday allowance, to allow for further flexibility. Wellbeing days are also given on top of holiday allowance to give employees a chance to refresh and recharge. Elsewhere, SBG offers discounts and an on-site gym, along with memberships and additional wellbeing support. Glassdoor’s Lauren Thomas said: “The companies topping our work-life balance list share one important characteristic: they offer a diverse range of options that allow employees to create a balance that works for them as individuals.”
