Sky Betting & Gaming boosts Leeds presence with new office
The Stars Group pre-lets new space in existing complex with free fitness sessions and wellbeing initiatives
Sky Betting & Gaming (SBG) has expanded its presence in Leeds after The Stars Group (TSG) pre-let a third major office at its Wellington Place headquarters.
SBG is one of the biggest employers in Leeds and currently occupies office space in Number 2 and Number 6 Wellington Place.
The operator will soon move into the new 134,000 square foot Number 4 Wellington Place building and will occupy office space over seven floors across the development.
According to developer MEPC, SBG employees will have access to a host of exclusive building benefits including a south-facing roof terrace overlooking Tower Square, basement parking and secure cycle space, plus shower and changing facilities and an outdoor fitness centre.
Karen Tyrrell, MD of people and culture at SBG, said: “When SBG moved to Leeds in 2010, we took space for just under 200 people on the ground floor of 2 Wellington Place.
“Today, SBG has over 1,300 people, spread over two separate buildings and six floors in Leeds.
“Our new offices at 4 Wellington Place will see one team working together in a specially designed modern building with fantastic community aspects on offer to our employees – free fitness sessions and wellbeing initiatives.
“It’s a real cause to celebrate,” she added.

TSG chief people officer Becs Cubbon said: “When it came to sourcing an office space to bring us all under one roof, it was absolutely the right choice for us to remain at Wellington Place.
“With ambitious growth plans and an exciting recruitment programme, we not only needed somewhere to house all our existing teams, but somewhere to give us the space to grow.”
