Šimon Vincze promoted to Casino Guru’s sustainable and safer gambling lead
Former responsible gambling projects manager takes over in lead role at online casino provider
Casino Guru has promoted its responsible gambling project manager Šimon Vincze as its new head of sustainable and safer gambling lead.
Following just under two years in his previous role, Vincze will take on the newly created role with the online casino provider. The new position reflects the ongoing sustainable gambling initiative within both the company and the industry. This includes reflecting the operator’s responsible gambling tools in the site’s reviews and ensuring that the team conducts safer gambling best practices in everything they do.
Vincze joined Casino Guru in August 2020 and took charge of the team’s responsible gambling project, the Global Self-Exclusion Initiative, which aimed to create the first global self-exclusion system to help improve players’ safety world. Vincze also took over Casino Guru Academy, which offers free educational courses for the gambling industry.
Vincze commented on his early days at Casino Guru, saying: “Joining the Casino Guru team was a leap in the dark and a great challenge for me. Ever since I joined, I’ve been taking on more and more responsibilities and working towards our goal of improving online gambling for everyone. Thanks to valuable feedback from industry professionals and advancements in responsible gambling, we now know how to reach this goal better than ever before.”
He added: “I am grateful for the opportunity to be involved in making gambling safer and excited to see the future impact of our endeavours. I am also thankful for becoming a part of such a great team, as well as meeting many inspiring professionals at industry events and conferences.”
Vincze and his team are now looking forward to ICE 2022 and will try and raise awareness of the aforementioned global self-exclusion system. As part of these efforts, they will be releasing a blue paper on the proposed implementation of this system and creating a tool that will help guide vulnerable players through self-excluding from their existing gambling accounts.
Vincze spoke about his excitement about what is to come from his team, saying: “There is an exciting journey ahead of us, and I cannot wait to see our projects improved and developed throughout the year.
“Apart from the Initiative, I also focus on connecting problem gambling help organisations with players who need their help. We are working on the first global database of these organisations to help struggling individuals find professional help quickly and effectively.”
